Watch The Global Citizen Prize 2019 Wherever You Are...

On Dec. 13, London’s iconic Royal Albert Hall was the venue for the inaugural Global Citizen Prize award ceremony. 


There were incredible performances from Jennifer Hudson, John Legend, Raphael Saadiq, Sting, Stomzy, and special guests Chris Martin, H.E.R., and Jorja Smith. 


The show also celebrated the Global Citizen Prize award winners in five categories: the World Leader Prize went go to Amina Mohammed; the Business Leader Prize went to Chobani CEO Hamdi Ulukaya; the Artist of the Year was presented to Sting; and Global Citizen of the Year went to Richard Curtis. 


The Cisco Youth Leadership Award winner, who received $250,000 in funding to support the work of the organization through which they’ve having impact, will be announced for the first time on the night of the show. 


As well as musical performances, the show features powerful, inspirational stories of people taking action to positively impact their communities, and calls-to-action for Global Citizens everywhere to get involved in the mission to end extreme poverty by 2030. 


So, without further ado, here’s how you can tune in to watch the show, and join the celebration of those dedicated activists who have committed themselves to driving forward the mission to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and deliver a world that’s fair and just for all. 


Global
The world premiere will be broadcast on Dec. 20 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC. Our good friends at MTV will also be broadcasting worldwide on Dec. 27 and 28 on MTV World Stage. Check your local listings for more information. 

 

United States
In the US, you can also catch the show on MSNBC on Dec. 22 at 10 p.m. ET and Dec. 31 at 11 p.m. ET. You can also watch the show on MTV World Stage, which will be broadcasting worldwide on Dec. 27 and 28, so check your local listings for more info.

 

United Kingdom
In the UK, you can tune in on Dec. 21 at 7 p.m. GMT on Sky One. And you too can watch the show on MTV World Stage, which will be broadcasting worldwide on Dec. 27 and 28, so check your local listings for more info.

 

Africa
Global Citizens in Africa, you can catch the show on M-Net 101 at 9 p.m. SAST on Jan. 1 2020. You’ll also be able to watch on MTV World Stage, which will be broadcasting worldwide on Dec. 27 and 28, so check your local listings for more info.
